Introduction:

Welcome to the Oracle Cloud Category Administrator Training service.

The category management team is responsible for creating, managing, and exposing the content structures (catalogs, smart forms, etc.) required to facilitate self-service purchasing as well as the content structures used to facilitate the guided buying process for non-negotiated content (creating a smart form to leverage catalog category hierarchies to restrict the requester category choices).

 

In this service, you/your category management team will learn how to:

  • Structure the Procurement Catalog Category Hierarchy or PCCH
    • Can help with reporting
    • Can help with GL account assignment (opt)
    • Can help with buyer assignment
    • Can help with guided buying using smart forms
  • Create/Manage remote catalogs (aka punch-out catalogs)
  • Create/Manage local catalogs
  • Create/Manage purchase agreements to audit remote catalog prices
  • Create/Manage SmartForms (aka guided buying)
  • Edit the purchasing news (text broadcast to all requesters)
  • Enable suppliers to manage their purchase agreements
  • Create/Manage Content Zones

 

Purpose:

The PURPOSE of this service is to:

  • Learn how to use Oracle Cloud’s buyer-specific applications and processes
  • See where Oracle Cloud has designed industry best practices into the software
  • Learn how to UNLOCK THE POWER OF ORACLE CLOUD

 

Scope Areas:

The SCOPE AREAS of this service are as follows:

  • Oracle Cloud’s CATALOGS application & business processes
  • Oracle Cloud’s PURCHASE AGREEMENTS application & business processes
  • Oracle Cloud’s SUPPLIER PORTAL application & business processes
  • A pre-negotiated and non-negotiated purchasing content DESIGN DISCUSSION

 

NOTE: this service provider created Panameer’s Procurement Cloud & Enterprise Contracts free end-user training content (courses)!

 

Location:

The LOCATION of this service is as follows:

  • REMOTE – all sessions will be broadcast via Teams to the service buyer/enterprise.

 

Tasks:

The TASKS per SCOPE AREAS for this service are as follows:

 

  1. PURCHASE AGREEMENTS
    • Create a blanket purchase agreement
    • Create a contract purchase agreement
    • Create a complex purchase agreement (retainage clients only)
  2. CATALOGS
    • Create local catalogs (from BPA)
    • Create remote catalogs (with CPA)
    • Create smart forms
    • Create procurement catalog category hierarchy (aka PCCH) levels
    • Create and manage/assign content to a content zones
    • Edit the purchasing news
  3. SUPPLIER PORTAL
    • Manage blanket purchase agreement/local catalog items
  4. DESIGN DISCUSSION
    • Segmenting purchasing based on commodities
    • Buying channels (overview only)
    • Creating a guided buying experience

 

Milestones:

The MILESTONES for this service are as follows:

  • This service has NO milestones.

 

Deliverables:

The DELIVERABLES for this service are as follows:

  • The service provider will deliver a training “script”
  • The service buyer will confirm completion of this service (in Panameer) within 48 hours
  • The service buyer will rate the service provider (in Panameer) within 48 hours

 

Schedule:

The SCHEDULE for the SCOPE AREAS listed above are as follows:

  1. SESSION ONE
    • Walk thru the PURCHASE AGREEMENTS (30 minutes)
    • Walk thru the CATALOGS (90 minutes)
    • Walk thru the SUPPLIER PORTAL (30 minutes)
  2. BREAK – 60 minutes.
  3. SESSION TWO
    • Design Discussion (60 minutes).

 

Settlement Details:

The SETTLEMENT details for this service are as follows:

  1. This service is paid for in advance of being delivered.
  2. To purchase this service, the service buyer must perform the following steps:
    • Click the BUY NOW button.
    • Pay using the CREDIT/DEBIT CARD option.
  3. The service provider will receive a notification immediately.
  4. The service provider will message the service buyer for dates and times within 24 hours.
  5. Both parties will select a day/time within 48 hours of the purchase notification.
  6. The service provider will perform the training sessions.
  7. The service buyer will confirm & rate the service within 48 hours of completion.

 

Assumption(s):

The ASSUMPTIONS for this service are as follows:

  • All SCOPE AREAS are included in the price of this service as defined above.
  • The provider will configure an Oracle Cloud instance (in preparation for sessions).
  • The provider will create a script listing the steps/tasks to be executed.
  • The provider will pre-test the instance using the script.
  • The provider will provide the script to the service buyer (helpful for note-taking).
  • The provider will perform the session.
  • All sessions can be recorded by Panameer only.
  • All sessions require permission from Panameer’s management for rebroadcast.
  • All sessions are limited to Oracle Cloud delivered applications and functionality.
